dmi_ami_firewire_guid
Synopsis
#include <opendmi/entity/ami/firewire-guid.h>
typedef struct dmi_ami_firewire_guid {
dmi_binary_t signature;
dmi_binary_t data;
uint8_t unknown;
const char *name;
} dmi_ami_firewire_guid_t;
Description
The dmi_ami_firewire_guid_t structure holds the decoded AMI FireWire GUID,
which keeps the data holding the GUID of the IEEE 1394 (FireWire) controller
of the board, under the name V1394GUID.
The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded
by dmi_ami_firewire_guid_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(ami_firewire_guid),
declared in <opendmi/module/ami.h>, once the AMI extension module
(dmi_ami_module) is enabled, which is done for the platforms whose firmware
vendor is AMI when the context has DMI_CONTEXT_FLAG_AUTO_MODULES. It lives
as long as the context it has been decoded in.
The layout is reverse engineered from a single structure of the data corpus,
so the layout of the data is not established, and the data is kept as a
whole. The data identifies the board: it is replaced when the table is
anonymized, see dmi_anonymize.
Fields
signature-
Signature of the structure,
FE DC BA 98 76 54 32 10, which the structure is told by, along with its length of 54 bytes. data-
Data holding the GUID of the controller, 40 bytes, which begin like the bus information block of the configuration ROM of IEEE 1394.
unknown-
Value whose meaning is not established, 0 in all known data.
name-
Name of the data,
V1394GUID.
