Synopsis
#include <opendmi/entity/memory-module.h>
typedef enum dmi_memory_module_size_status {
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_PRESENT,
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_INVALID,
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_NOT_DETERMINABLE,
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_NOT_ENABLED,
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_NOT_INSTALLED,
} dmi_memory_module_size_status_t;
const char *dmi_memory_module_size_status_name(
dmi_memory_module_size_status_t value);
Description
The dmi_memory_module_size_status_t enumeration tells whether the size of a
memory module is known, and why not if it is not. It is the type of the
status field of dmi_memory_module_size_t. The data carries these statuses
as special values of the size; the enumeration and its values belong to the
library.
The dmi_memory_module_size_status_name function returns the printable name
of a value, as the command line tool shows it. The name is translated to the
locale set with dmi_set_locale, when the library is built with ICU4C support
and has a translation of it.
Values
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_PRESENT-
The size is known, and is in the
valuefield. DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_INVALID-
The data holds a size too large to be represented: 2 to the power of 44 MiB or more, other than the special values below.
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_NOT_DETERMINABLE-
The size cannot be determined, for example because the system has no means of reading the presence-detect information of the module (data 0x7D). Used for the installed size only.
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_NOT_ENABLED-
A module is installed, but none of its memory is enabled (data 0x7E).
DMI_MEMORY_MODULE_SIZE_STATUS_NOT_INSTALLED-
No module is installed (data 0x7F).
Return value
dmi_memory_module_size_status_name returns the name of the value, or
nullptr if the value has no name. The name is a static string, which must
not be modified or freed.
