Dell Device Bay (Type 219)

Source: reverse engineered from the dumps of the data corpus.

Describes a bay of a laptop or of its docking station, which takes one of several devices, e.g. System Device Bay, which takes Floppy, Battery, CD-ROM, CD-RW, Hard Disk, DVD and holds Battery in dell/latitude-d500.bin, or Dock DBay, which holds EMPTY in dell/latitude-d610.bin.

Newer platforms give the structure 11 bytes, which refer to two more strings whose meaning is not established: Latitude E6230 has a bay and leaves them out, while Precision M3800 and G15 5515, which have none, carry a structure of blank strings or of 00h. XPS 13 9350 gives type 219 to the Intel Management Engine interface information, which is told by its signature, and the structure is decoded for the other structures of the type. The numbers of the strings do not tell it, since the structures whose strings are the same are written back with a single one.
