dmi_string_tolower

Synopsis

#include <opendmi/utils/string.h>

void dmi_string_tolower(char *str);
void dmi_string_toupper(char *str);

Description

The dmi_string_tolower function converts every character of the null-terminated string str to lower case with tolower(3), and the dmi_string_toupper function converts it to upper case with toupper(3). The string is changed in place; no memory is allocated.

The string is converted byte by byte, according to the LC_CTYPE category of the current locale, so that characters taking more than one byte, e.g. the non-ASCII characters of UTF-8, are not converted.

If str is nullptr, the functions do nothing.

Parameters

str

String to convert.

Return value

The functions return no value.

Errors

None: the functions take no context to raise errors in.
