dmi_system_log_io_ports

Synopsis

#include <opendmi/entity/system-event-log.h>

typedef struct dmi_system_log_io_ports {
    uint16_t index_port;
    uint16_t data_port;
} dmi_system_log_io_ports_t;

Description

The dmi_system_log_io_ports_t structure holds the I/O port addresses used to reach the system event log with one of the indexed I/O access methods, and is the type of the access_ports field of dmi_system_event_log_t. Software writes the offset of a byte of the log area to the index port, then reads or writes that byte through the data port.

The decoder fills the structure from the access method address whatever the access method is; it is only meaningful when the access_method field of the event log is one of the DMI_SYSTEM_LOG_ACCESS_METHOD_INDEXED_IO_* values.

Fields

index_port

I/O address of the index port, the low word of the access method address. With two 8-bit index ports, this is the port of the low byte of the offset, and the port of the high byte follows it.

data_port

I/O address of the data port, the high word of the access method address.

Standards

DMTF SMBIOS Specification (DSP0134), version 2.0 or newer.
