dmi_chassis_element
Synopsis
#include <opendmi/entity/chassis.h>
typedef struct dmi_chassis_element {
dmi_type_id_t type;
dmi_baseboard_type_t board_type;
size_t minimum_count;
size_t maximum_count;
} dmi_chassis_element_t;
Description
The dmi_chassis_element_t structure describes a kind of element a system
enclosure contains, and how many of them it takes. The elements field of
dmi_chassis_t is an array of them.
An element is named either by the type of the SMBIOS structures describing it,
for example DMI_TYPE(power_supply) for power supplies, or by a baseboard
type, for example DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_SERVER_BLADE for blades. One of type
and board_type is set, and the other one holds the value telling that it is
not used.
Fields
type-
Type number of the SMBIOS structures describing the element, or
DMI_TYPE_ID_INVALIDif the element is named byboard_type. board_type-
Baseboard type of the element, or
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_UNSPECif the element is named bytype. minimum_count-
Number of such elements the enclosure needs to work properly, 0 to 254, or
SIZE_MAXif the data carries 255, a value the specification reserves. maximum_count-
Number of such elements the enclosure can hold, 1 to 255, or
SIZE_MAXif the data carries 0, a value the specification reserves, which the library takes as no maximum.
