Description

The dmi_hpe_trusted_module_t structure holds the decoded HP/HPE trusted module (TPM or TCM) status, which tells whether a trusted module is present and enabled, and what kind of module it is.

The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded by dmi_hpe_trusted_module_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(hpe_trusted_module), declared in <opendmi/module/hpe.h>, once the HPE extension module (dmi_hpe_module) is enabled, which it is for HP and HPE servers. It lives as long as the context it has been decoded in.

The structures of the older servers hold the presence only, and the other fields are then zero, which the enumerations name as not specified.

Fields

presence

Presence of the module, see dmi_hpe_tm_presence.

is_orom_measuring

Whether option ROMs are measured.

is_hidden

Whether the module is hidden.

disable_reason

Reason the module is disabled for, see dmi_hpe_tm_disable_reason. It is shown for a disabled module only.

error_condition

Error condition the module is disabled for, see dmi_hpe_tm_error. It is shown for a module disabled for an error only.

type

Type of the module, see dmi_hpe_tm_type.

is_standard_algorithm

Whether the standard algorithms are supported.

is_chinese_algorithm

Whether the Chinese algorithms are supported.

mounting

How the module is mounted, see dmi_hpe_tm_mounting.

fips

FIPS certification of the module, see dmi_hpe_tm_fips.

version_handle

Handle of the version indicator (type 216) of the firmware of the module. Set to DMI_HANDLE_INVALID when the structure holds none.

chip

Chip of the module, see dmi_hpe_tm_chip, told by the low byte of the identifier word: the high byte is reserved.

has_extended_status

Whether the structure holds the fields from disable_reason to version_handle, which the structures of 5 bytes leave out. The fields are not shown then.

has_chip

Whether the structure holds the chip identifier, which the structures shorter than 12 bytes leave out. The field is not shown then.

Standards

Not part of the SMBIOS specification. Defined by HP and HPE for their servers; the layout is the one dmidecode documents.
