Description
The dmi_hpe_rom_info_t structure holds the decoded HP/HPE other ROM
information: the redundant system ROM and the OEM ROM image of the server.
The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded
by dmi_hpe_rom_info_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(hpe_rom_info), declared in
<opendmi/module/hpe.h>, once the HPE extension module (dmi_hpe_module) is
enabled, which it is for HP and HPE servers. It lives as long as the context
it has been decoded in.
Fields of the OEM ROM image are absent from the structures of the older
servers, and are then nullptr. Fields which the structure leaves out, or
which do not apply, are not shown, as the has_ fields tell.
Fields
is_redundant_rom-
Whether a redundant ROM is installed.
redundant_rom_version-
Version of the redundant ROM, which is its release date. Gen12 onwards reserve the field.
bootblock_version-
Version string up to Gen8, whose meaning is not documented. Its dates are earlier than the ones of the ROM, which suggests the boot block. Gen9 onwards reserve the byte.
oem_rom_filename-
File name of the OEM ROM image. Firmware which has no image leaves the string out or fills it with blanks, which the decoded string is trimmed of.
oem_rom_date-
Build date of the OEM ROM image.
unknown_string-
String whose meaning is not established, e.g.
2.9on a G6 server. has_redundant_rom_version-
Whether
redundant_rom_versionis shown, which it is when a redundant ROM is installed, up to Gen11. has_oem_rom-
Whether
oem_rom_filenameandoem_rom_dateare shown, which they are when the raw file name is neither empty nor begins with two blanks. has_unknown_string-
Whether the structure holds
unknown_string, which the structures shorter than 10 bytes leave out.
