Description

The dmi_hpe_riser_t structure holds the decoded HP/HPE extension board inventory record of a PCIe riser, which ML, DL and Alletra servers have from Gen11 onwards. It is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures of board type DMI_HPE_BOARD_TYPE_RISER.

The structures are decoded by dmi_hpe_riser_spec and dmi_hpe_mhs_riser_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(hpe_riser), declared in <opendmi/module/hpe.h>, once the HPE extension module (dmi_hpe_module) is enabled, which it is for HP and HPE servers. The board type at offset 0x04 selects the specification, and the structures of other board types are not decoded. The structure lives as long as the context it has been decoded in.

Fields

board_type

Type of the board, DMI_HPE_BOARD_TYPE_RISER, see dmi_hpe_board_type.

position

Position of the riser, see dmi_hpe_riser_position.

riser_id

ID of the riser.

cpld_version

Version of the CPLD of the riser, bits 0 to 6 of its field, zero if the riser has no CPLD.

is_cpld_b_release

Whether the version of the CPLD is a B. release, bit 7 of its field.

name

Name of the riser.
