Intel Silicon View Technology Milestones (Type 222)

Source: reverse engineered from the dumps of the data corpus.

Lists the milestones of the boot the firmware reports to the debug and validation tools of Intel Silicon View Technology (SVT). A group association (type 14) named Intel® Silicon View Technology often refers to the structure. The reference code gives the structure type 222, which Dell places at type 206, while HP servers carry none.

2. Intel Silicon View Technology Milestones — Aligned Layout

Some firmware does not pack the structure, e.g. the one of Dell XPS 13 9365, which carries 01 00 99 00 03 10 01 20 02 30 03 00 where other firmware carries 01 99 00 03 10 01 20 02 30 03: the parameter is aligned to two bytes, and the milestones are followed by a byte which makes the length of the structure even. The length of such structures is 0x0A + 2 × Milestone Count, e.g. 0x10 for three milestones, where the packed layout has 0x0E.

Both layouts are told by the version and the parameter, 1 and 0x0099, which every known structure holds, so that the structures vendors give type 222 are not taken for the milestones on the systems whose firmware names no vendor, e.g. the ones of Dell on PowerEdge servers.
