dmi_apple_memory_spd_data

Synopsis

#include <opendmi/entity/apple/memory-spd-data.h>

typedef struct dmi_apple_memory_spd_data {
    dmi_handle_t handle;
    uint16_t offset;
    uint16_t size;
    dmi_binary_t data;
} dmi_apple_memory_spd_data_t;

Description

The dmi_apple_memory_spd_data_t structure holds the decoded Apple memory SPD data (type 130): the serial presence detect (SPD) data of a memory module, or a part of it. The firmware adds a structure for each memory module.

The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded by dmi_apple_memory_spd_data_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(apple_memory_spd_data), declared in <opendmi/module/apple.h>, once the Apple extension module (dmi_apple_module) is enabled, which is done for the platforms of Apple firmware when the context has DMI_CONTEXT_FLAG_AUTO_MODULES. It lives as long as the context it has been decoded in.

The Intel reference code gives type 130 to the Intel Active Management Technology information too, which is told apart by its signature.

Fields

handle

Handle of the memory device (type 17) of the module.

offset

Offset of the data within the SPD data of the module.

size

Length of the data, in bytes.

data

SPD data.

Standards

Not part of the SMBIOS specification. Defined by the firmware of Macs, and laid out as the AppleSmBios.h header of OpenCore describes it.
