HP/HPE Physical Attribute Information (Type 226)

Source: dmidecode, dmioem.c, and the dumps of the data corpus.

Keeps the physical serial number and UUID of the server, whose standard fields hold virtual ones, e.g. on Synergy, where a workload moves from one server to another along with its identity.

Up to G7, the servers of the data corpus hold 16 ASCII characters instead of the UUID: the product number and the serial number, e.g. 484184GB894484YN. dmidecode decodes the field as a UUID on every server. The data corpus holds the characters on a G6 server only, so the boundary between G7 and Gen8 is an inference, taken where the naming of the generations changes.
