dmi_dell_indexed_io_token

Synopsis

#include <opendmi/entity/dell/indexed-io.h>

typedef struct dmi_dell_indexed_io_token {
    uint16_t id;
    uint8_t location;
    uint8_t and_mask;
    bool is_string;
    uint8_t or_value;
    uint8_t string_length;
} dmi_dell_indexed_io_token_t;

Description

The dmi_dell_indexed_io_token_t structure describes one token of the Dell indexed IO structure (type 212), and is the type of the elements of the tokens array of dmi_dell_indexed_io_t. A token is a setting of the firmware kept in CMOS: either a boolean one, activated by masking the bits of a location and setting some of them, or a string starting at a location.

Fields

id

Token identifier. Never 0x0000 or 0xFFFF: the records with these identifiers are unused ones and the end-of-table marker, which are not decoded as tokens.

location

CMOS index of the value of the token.

and_mask

Mask applied with a bitwise AND to the value at the location before or_value is set. 0 for string tokens.

is_string

Whether the token is a string token, which the structure tells by an and_mask of 0.

or_value

For boolean tokens, bits set with a bitwise OR in the value at the location when the token is activated. 0 for string tokens.

string_length

For string tokens, length of the string. 0 for boolean tokens.

Standards

Not part of the SMBIOS specification. Defined by Dell firmware, see the Dell Indexed IO (Type 212) chapter of the reference manual.
