dmi_dell_token_refs_2

Synopsis

#include <opendmi/entity/dell/token-refs.h>

typedef struct dmi_dell_token_refs_2 {
    uint8_t unknown_1;
    uint16_t unknown_2;
    uint16_t tokens[6];
} dmi_dell_token_refs_2_t;

Description

The dmi_dell_token_refs_2_t structure holds the decoded Dell token references of type 221, which list tokens, most of which the calling interface (type 218) or the indexed I/O access (type 212) of the same table defines, following two values whose meaning is not established. Dell gives type 221 to this structure, and the Intel firmware version information is found at type 205 or 237 on most Dell platforms, see dmi_intel_fvi. Some of them, e.g. XPS 13 9350, keep it at type 221, where the structure of Dell is told from it by its length of 19 bytes and by carrying no strings.

The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded by dmi_dell_token_refs_2_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(dell_token_refs_2), declared in <opendmi/module/dell.h>, once the Dell extension module (dmi_dell_module) is enabled. It lives as long as the context it has been decoded in.

The layout is reverse engineered from the dumps of the data corpus, since no public source describes the structure, and the members whose meaning is not established are named after their position.

Fields

unknown_1

Value whose meaning is not established, 0, 2 or 3 in the known data.

unknown_2

Value whose meaning is not established, 0 or 1 in the known data.

tokens

Tokens, zero for none.

Standards

Not part of the SMBIOS specification. Defined by Dell firmware, and reverse engineered from the data corpus.
