const char *dmi_baseboard_type_name(dmi_baseboard_type_t value);
Description
The dmi_baseboard_type_t enumeration tells what kind of board a baseboard
structure describes, and is the type of the type field of dmi_baseboard_t.
The same values name the boards a chassis contains, in the board_type field
of dmi_chassis_element_t.
The dmi_baseboard_type_name function returns the name of a value, as the
command line tool shows it. The name is translated to the locale set with
dmi_set_locale if the library is built with ICU4C support and the locale has
a translation of it, and is in English otherwise.
Values
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_UNSPEC-
Unspecified. The specification defines no board type of zero; the value is also what the field holds when the structure is too short to carry it.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_UNKNOWN-
Unknown.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_OTHER-
Other type, which none of the values below names.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_SERVER_BLADE-
Server blade.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_CONNECTIVITY_SWITCH-
Connectivity switch.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_SYSTEM_MANAGEMENT_MODULE-
System management module.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_PROCESSOR_MODULE-
Processor module.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_IO_MODULE-
I/O module.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_MEMORY_MODULE-
Memory module.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_DAUGHTERBOARD-
Daughter board.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_MOTHERBOARD-
Motherboard, which holds the processors, the memory and the I/O.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_PROCESSOR_MEMORY_MODULE-
Module holding processors and memory.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_PROCESSOR_IO_MODULE-
Module holding processors and I/O.
DMI_BASEBOARD_TYPE_INTERCONNECT_BOARD-
Interconnect board.
Return value
dmi_baseboard_type_name returns the name of the value, or nullptr if the
value has no name, e.g. a value the specification reserves. The string belongs
to the library and must not be modified or freed; a translated name may become
invalid once the locale is changed.
