Description

The dmi_hpe_dimm_attrs_t structure holds the decoded HP/HPE DIMM attributes record, which tells what the memory device structure (type 17) of a DIMM socket does not: whether the module is an HPE one, and the voltages it runs at. There is a record for each socket.

The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded by dmi_hpe_dimm_attrs_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(hpe_dimm_attrs), declared in <opendmi/module/hpe.h>, once the HPE extension module (dmi_hpe_module) is enabled, which it is for HP and HPE servers from Gen9 onwards. It lives as long as the context it has been decoded in.

Fields

device_handle

Handle of the memory device structure (type 17).

attributes

Attributes of the module, as the structure holds them.

smart_memory

Whether the module is HPE SmartMemory, as bits 0 and 1 of the attributes tell, see dmi_hpe_flag.

load_reduced

Whether the module is a load reduced one (LRDIMM), as bits 2 and 3 of the attributes tell, see dmi_hpe_flag.

standard_memory

Whether the module is HPE standard memory, as bits 4 and 5 of the attributes tell, see dmi_hpe_flag.

minimum_voltage

Minimum operating voltage in millivolts, zero if unknown.

configured_voltage

Configured operating voltage in millivolts, zero if unknown.

is_config_error

Whether the module is mapped out because of a configuration error.

is_training_error

Whether the module is mapped out because of a training error.

encryption

Encryption status of the module, see dmi_hpe_encryption. Set to UINT8_MAX when the structure holds none.

Standards

Not part of the SMBIOS specification. Defined by HP and HPE for their servers; the layout is the one dmidecode documents.
