Synopsis

#include <opendmi/entity/memory-controller.h>

typedef union dmi_error_correct_caps {
    dmi_byte_t __value;
    struct {
        dmi_byte_t is_other      : 1;
        dmi_byte_t is_unknown    : 1;
        dmi_byte_t is_none       : 1;
        dmi_byte_t is_single_bit : 1;
        dmi_byte_t is_double_bit : 1;
        dmi_byte_t is_scrubbing  : 1;
        dmi_byte_t __reserved    : 2;
    };
} dmi_error_correct_caps_t;

Description

The dmi_error_correct_caps_t union holds the error correcting capabilities of a memory controller as a set of flags, and is the type of the error_correction and enabled_error_correction fields of dmi_memory_controller_t. A bit is set when the controller has the capability.

Fields

__value

Raw value of the byte, is_other being bit 0.

is_other

Other capability.

is_unknown

The capabilities are unknown.

is_none

No error correction.

is_single_bit

Correction of single-bit errors.

is_double_bit

Correction of double-bit errors.

is_scrubbing

Error scrubbing.

__reserved

Reserved bits, zero.

Standards

DMTF SMBIOS Specification (DSP0134), version 2.0 or newer. The memory controller information structure is obsolete since version 2.1.
