dmi_hpe_cru
Synopsis
#include <opendmi/entity/hpe/cru.h>
typedef struct dmi_hpe_cru {
dmi_binary_t signature_raw;
char *signature;
uint64_t address;
uint32_t length;
uint32_t offset;
uint64_t entry_point;
bool is_cru;
} dmi_hpe_cru_t;
Description
The dmi_hpe_cru_t structure holds the decoded HP/HPE 64-bit CRU information,
which tells where the 64-bit entry point of the Compaq ROM Utility (CRU)
services of the firmware is, which the watchdog timer driver calls.
The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded
by dmi_hpe_cru_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(hpe_cru), declared in
<opendmi/module/hpe.h>, once the HPE extension module (dmi_hpe_module) is
enabled, which it is for HP and HPE servers. It lives as long as the context
it has been decoded in.
The structure is decoded up to Gen8 only, which is the last generation known to have it.
Fields
signature_raw-
Signature, as the structure holds it.
signature-
Signature,
$CRUfor the CRU services, ornullptrif it is not printable. Some servers carry records of other signatures too, e.g.$SHF, whose meaning is not known. The string belongs to the structure, and is freed along with it. address-
Physical address of the service area.
length-
Length of the service area.
offset-
Offset of the entry point within the service area.
entry_point-
Physical address of the entry point.
is_cru-
Whether the record describes the CRU services, as its signature
$CRUtells. The address, the length, the offset and the entry point are shown for these records only.
