dmi_lint_context
Synopsis
#include <opendmi/lint.h>
dmi_context_t *dmi_lint_context(dmi_lint_t *lint);
dmi_version_t dmi_lint_version(const dmi_lint_t *lint);
const dmi_lint_totals_t *dmi_lint_totals(const dmi_lint_t *lint);
Description
The functions give the checks of the lint rules what they need to know of the
check in progress, see dmi_lint.
The dmi_lint_context function returns the context the data of which is
being checked, e.g. to look up another structure a structure refers to.
The dmi_lint_version function returns the version of the specification the
data is checked against: the one given in the options of the check, or the
version of the entry point if the options give none. Rules of the
requirements a version introduces are checked against it, so that the data of
an older version is not held to them.
The dmi_lint_totals function returns the totals of the table, which are
gathered before any rule is checked, so that they are complete for the rules
of every scope. The dmi_lint_totals_t structure holds the following
members:
entity_count-
Number of the structures of the table.
entity_max_size-
Length of the longest structure of the table, with its strings.
type_counts-
Number of the structures of every type, indexed by the type number.
terminator-
First end-of-table structure (type 127), or
nullptrif the table has none.
The totals belong to the check, and are valid while it is in progress.
Return value
dmi_lint_context returns the context, dmi_lint_version the version, and
dmi_lint_totals the totals of the table. If lint is nullptr, they
return nullptr, DMI_VERSION_NONE and nullptr respectively.
