Description

The dmi_hpe_usb_port_t structure holds the decoded HP/HPE USB port connector correlation record, which correlates a USB port connector (type 8) with its USB controller, its location and the UEFI device path of its endpoint.

The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded by dmi_hpe_usb_port_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(hpe_usb_port), declared in <opendmi/module/hpe.h>, once the HPE extension module (dmi_hpe_module) is enabled, which it is for HP and HPE servers from Gen9 onwards. It lives as long as the context it has been decoded in.

Fields

port_handle

Handle of the port connector structure (type 8).

bus

PCI bus of the USB controller of the port.

devfn

PCI device and function of the USB controller of the port, (device << 3) | function.

location

Location of the port, see dmi_hpe_usb_location.

sharing

Sharing of the port with the management controller, see dmi_hpe_usb_sharing.

instance

Instance of the port among the ports of its type.

hub_instance

Instance of the internal hub the port is behind. Set to 0xFE when not applicable.

speed

Speed the firmware configures the port for, see dmi_hpe_usb_speed.

uefi_device_path

UEFI device path of the USB endpoint.

segment

PCI segment group of the USB controller.
