dmi_lenovo_tvt

Synopsis

#include <opendmi/entity/lenovo/tvt.h>

typedef struct dmi_lenovo_tvt {
    uint8_t version;
    dmi_binary_t features;
    bool is_diagnostics;
    const char *signature;
} dmi_lenovo_tvt_t;

Description

The dmi_lenovo_tvt_t structure holds the decoded Lenovo ThinkVantage Technologies enablement, which tells the technologies the platform enables by 128 bits, of which only the last one is known.

The structure is returned by dmi_entity_info for the structures decoded by dmi_lenovo_tvt_spec, of type DMI_TYPE(lenovo_tvt), declared in <opendmi/module/lenovo.h>, once the Lenovo extension module (dmi_lenovo_module) is enabled, which is done for IBM and Lenovo platforms when the context has DMI_CONTEXT_FLAG_AUTO_MODULES. It lives as long as the context it has been decoded in.

The structures are told by their length, 0x16 bytes, and by their first string, TVT-Enablement, since Intel vPro information takes type 131 in the same table, see dmi_intel_vpro.

Fields

version

Version of the structure.

features

Bits of the technologies, 16 bytes, from the least significant bit of the first byte up.

is_diagnostics

Whether the diagnostics (PC-Doctor) are available, as bit 127 tells.

signature

Signature of the structure, TVT-Enablement.

Standards

Not part of the SMBIOS specification. Defined by Lenovo firmware, as dmidecode describes it.
